Diaz and torture of the Bolzaneto barracks, as well as the rejection of the parliamentary committee of inquiry on the management of public order in those days, represent an insult to the movement and a slap to the city of Genoa.

'Very serious THE DECISION OF CGIL. WRONG IN 2001, WRONG IN 2007 '
Milan, 8 November 2007 - "The CGIL's decision not to join
day of mobilization of 17 in Genoa - said Vittorio Agnoletto, MEP, spokesman for the Genoa Social Forum at the time of the G8 in 2001
- Is completely incomprehensible because only two days ago, Tuesday, a delegation from the CGIL of Genoa had participated in the meeting of the movement at the Community of St. Benedict and had contributed to
write the final appeal which today is called "not acceptable" by the CGIL.
A void has served six years during which hundreds of witnesses, dozens and dozens of hours of movies and the same investigations of the judiciary have shown how those days, to borrow from the words of Amnesty
International, "the Constitution has been suspended" There is no better blind those who do not want to see.
The CGIL is wrong today as in 2001.
The summits of the CGIL then did not understand the disasters of this liberal globalization, nor the great movement that was emerging all over the world, today does not understand how the search for truth and justice on Genoa is prerequisite to heal a wound
still alive between one generation and our institutions.
I call on the workers and delegates of the CGIL to disobey the decisions of the summits of the CGIL and to come to Genoa as thousands did in 2001.
The accession of FIOM and Labor and society as CGIL in 2001 represent a sign of extreme importance: the movement will not be alone ".
